About Afro Geek

We identified a lack of representation in geek culture, and that became one of the main reasons we started Afro Geek.

We grew up on comics, gaming, animation, and tech, but rarely saw African stories or creators reflected in those spaces. That gap pushed us to build something of our own.

Founded in 2023, Afro Geek is a platform and community dedicated to African creativity across comics, gaming, animation, cosplay, technology, and pop culture. What started as an idea has grown into a space focused on showcasing talent, supporting creators, and building a culture that reflects us.

Afro Geek is not here to fit into the culture. We are here to shape it.

Our Mission

To create a platform where African geeks can belong, create, and thrive by amplifying talent, building community, and opening real opportunities within global geek culture.

Our Vision

To become a leading global platform for African geek culture, where African stories, creators, and creativity are recognised, celebrated, and shaping the future of the industry.
